From September 22-24, 2023, we’ll be hosting a weekend dedicated to uncrewed aerial vehicles, AKA drones! Instructors and students from Radford University will be facilitating demonstrations, flight practice for amateurs, and more. Activities will continue to be updated as we get closer to the weekend.
Some activities will include:
- Friday – Space at the Farmers’ Market for Q&A, live demos, and aerial footage of the parade
- Saturday – Aerial footage of the race, a station at the top of the lift at Canaan Valley State Park for some high-altitude demos, and a flight practice area with an obstacle course at our Davis Campus (494 Riverstone Rd)
- Sunday – More practice time/space at our Davis Campus and aerial footage of the duck race
