It is hard to believe that the Youth STEAM Institute is now half complete! This morning we completed our rotations through the STEM activities including exploring drone technology (with Andy), learning about Arduino micro controllers and programming in Python (thanks Chalice!), and using TinkerCAD to design objects for the Stratasys Mojo 3D printer (thanks Hunter and Quinn!). After lunch, the group visited the Green Bank Observatory and the Robert C. Byrd Green Bank Telescope (a radio telescope) – thanks Sue Ann Heatherly!. On our return, dinner was pizza from the Siriani’s Cafe in Davis, WV. Then, we watched an advance copy of the feature length documentary The Farthest that will debut on PBS on August 23, 2017!
